Elise Malmberg
Assistant to the Assistant/Talent Scout

As Assistant to the Assistant, Elise is Clubbo’s final authority on quality training implementation, inventories of double-sided tape and artificial sweetener packets, and the requisition of requisition forms. In addition to her current administrative work with Clubbo, she writes and edits articles for music and audio industry publications and composes music for films, animation, ads and museum installations.
Before becoming Assistant to the Assistant at Clubbo, Elise spent many years in magazine publishing: first at Artforum magazine, and later at Electronic Musician and Mix magazines. She has also worked as a museum guard, an oriental rug lifter, a pizza cook, fetch-it girl at an indie record distributor, and a marketing director at CNET Networks and Dolby Laboratories.
Under the name Ursula Blind, Elise has performed and recorded two CDs with the band Action Plus. Her hobbies include cat therapy, virtual bowling and data entry.
Joe Gore
Fetch-It Boy/Talent Scout

Formerly a “hard-to-place” temp worker, Joe has found his true calling as Clubbo’s invaluable Fetch-It Boy. In addition to his routine collation and mimeographing responsibilities, Joe recently secured a lifetime supply of double-sided tape for the Clubbo offices, no doubt saving the rest of the staff considerable uncertainty and inconvenience at some future date.

In his spare time, Joe has recorded and/or performed with a number of notable artists, including Tracy Chapman, Eels, PJ Harvey, Courtney Love, Julieta Venegas and Tom Waits. He co-founded the bands Action Plus and Oranj Symphonette, and produced/co-produced two CDs for each group.
A former senior editor for Guitar Player magazine, Joe also writes about music technology for various industry publications. He is currently at work on his first novel, The Clubbo Story [PDF excerpt], a thinly veiled fictional treatment of Clubbo’s recent history as a subsidiary of the world’s then-largest record label. Joe's personal website is at www.joegore.com.

Richie Leeds
Temperamental Aesthete/Talent Scout
Clubbo originally hired Richie as a consultant to find creative new uses for double-sided tape. He quickly found a home at the Clubbo offices as "the guy who can make things look nice." In addition to his responsibilities as Clubbo's visual guru, Richie has been an innovator in corporate morale, instituting the popular "No Pants Thursdays."
In his free time, Richie owns and operates BigWig Design (www.bigwigdesign.com), a full-service design firm specializing in books, magazines, CDs, logos, collateral, illustration, photography and whatever else ya need.
Richie whiled away his youth art-directing a few hundred issues of Guitar Player and Keyboard magazines (and he has the swag to prove it). He is also a singer/songwriter who has performed at San Francisco's legendary Hotel Utah more than once. Currently, Richie is trying to start a trademarked clothing company without being sued.
